Polish Translators' list at Yahoo Groups was set up in December 2001. The main purpose of the group is mutual help and support. If there are many of us, we could reach solutions much faster.
As to the official language of the group, somehow English has been prevailing so far, but obviously Polish is the one. There might be problems with diacritic marks, so we probably will end up with emailese Polish.

My intention is that the list becomes one of the most important forums for translation professionals who translate to or from Polish. Since April, we cooperate with TEPIS, which promoted our list in its quarterly newsletter.
